Become a NH Chapter Hike Leader

The NH Chapter Excursions Committee is made up of a group of people who give their time freely, leading hikes, or other excursions for the general membership of the AMC. Our leaders give up a lot of their time to ensure that every participant on a NH Chapter trip has a fun, but more importantly, safe experience. The trail to becoming a NH Chapter Hike Leader is not any easy one. You must have proven trail savvy, pass the leadership training class at one of our workshops, then co-lead a series of trips under the watchful eyes of mentors.

Because of this training, and the continuing commitment of all our volunteer leaders, when someone goes on a trip with NH Chapter of the AMC, that person is going with one of the best Hike Leaders, volunteer or otherwise, that the AMC has to offer. Click here to learn more about what it takes to become a Hike Leader.

Help Your Children Stay Safe and Stay Sound!

This FREE Staying Found Workshop For Families is offered by the New Hampshire Chapter Family Group. The main focus for children is to teach them how to stay safe in a situation where they are separated from the group or find themselves lost off the trail. When that happens, there are several things that children can be taught to keep them out of danger and improve their chances of reuniting with their party. Please join us for this valuable free workshop ~ space is limited, so sign up early! Click here for more information and how to register.
