Learn Sea Kayaking skills in the beautiful setting of Knubble Bay.




2014 Sea Kayaking Training for Students and Instructors
Includes two nights lodging, three meals, classroom instruction and on-water practice of padding strokes, rescues (self and assisted.) There is also a focus on navigation. Depending upon paddling conditions, there may be a day paddle to some MITA islands in the Sheepscot and/or Southport Island. We will also have an on water boat repair demonstration.

Training will include: wet exits, self and assisted rescue, paddling strokes, preparations for day or weekend trip, leave no trace, SAFETY, navigation, group dynamics and more.

Participants are responsible for bringing their own sea kayaks, paddling/rescue gear including paddle and PFD, appropriate clothing and packed lunches for both days. A wet or dry suit is MANDATORY. Sleeping arrangements are coed. Participants must bring their own sleeping bags and pillows.

Notes: Pre-screening is mandatory for this trip.
Prescreening will be done after an application is received.
If kayak rental is needed a contact will be provided.
This trip is intended for those 21+ years of age.
